an experience above the clouds

Test your endurance and will power on the toughest trek of Karnataka. Also known as Pushpagir and towering at an altitude of 1,712 meters, not only is it the highest peak in the Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary but also considered to be the fourth highest peak in Karnataka. The peak lies in the border of Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu District and The peak is also located right behind the very famous and revered Kukke Subramanya Temple.

lead and take ownership

Start with an intensive session to plan out everything needed for the coming days. From menus, ration and utensils to contingency food plans. Divide and share the load of supplies. As the days progress, instructors take a step back as the group takes initiative. Learn to work as a team—look out for each other, learn to be considerate and share the responsibilities of cooking, cleaning, firewood collection and resource management.

program itinerary

Day 1: DEPARTURE & SETTLING IN Departure at 6:00 am from Army Public School, Kamaraj Road, Bengaluru. Arrival at camp by Lunch. Settle in and get to know your instructors and other participants. Tent pitching and basic camping skills. 

Day 2 PLAN & PREPARE A short but strenuous trek helps participants prepare for the challenge. Post lunch the group prepares and packs for the expedition Evening is spent relaxing around the bonfire. 

Day 3 TREK Post breakfast group depart from camp by MUV’s for  Subrahmanya( 90 mins drive) to begin the trek. Trek through Rocky terrain to reach the first campsite. Pitch tents and set up camp. 

Day 4 SUMMIT Start the trek early morning to summit Kumara Parvatha Peak! Enjoy the view from the fourth hightest peak in Karnataka and trek down to Campsite and rest for the day. 

Day 5 Back to camp Post Breakfast will clear the campsite and trek down to base. Will be reaching campsite for lunch. Rest and bathe! Special dinner to mark the success of the expedition! 

Day 6  HOMEWARD Leave camp post lunch

The expedition starts and ends at Bisle where accommodation is in shared room/dormitories. During the trek, campsites are set up at different locations everyday. The group pitches the tents and sleep in sleeping bags provided by us. They're small tents that comfortably fit two to three people. A pop-up toilet tent is also taken along.

Being well fed and hydrated is crucial to staying energised for the demanding days. There is wholesome and nutritious food for every meal, on camp and in the course of the expedition. Water, soup or juice provided during hydration breaks through the day. Our instructors take care of the rest. They're all certified outdoor experts who go through extensive training and assessment before working with us. For the comfort and special needs of girls, there is a female instructor assigned to each activity group. A doctor is also present on camp at all times to attend to medical needs.

travel details

Groups depart from Army Public School, Kamaraj Road, Bengaluru, by luxury AC buses at 6:00am. The buses will take you all the way to Bisle. The road can get a bit bumpy over some uneven stretches, so be prepared! On the way back, we reach Army Public School, Kamaraj Road at 10:30pm. Outstation participants fly into Bengaluru one day prior to the departure date. Inme provides airport chaperone services which includes pick-and-drop from Bengaluru Airport for participants taking the recommended flights along with overnight stay and meals at an added cost. fitness requirements

This program might be more demanding than the usual physical activities you're used to. We recommend a little jogging, stretching and exercise a few weeks before the departure to gain the flexibility and agility needed to truly enjoy the experience. Do this wearing the shoes you want to carry for the program—it'll help break into them.
