At 10,170 feet Serolsar Lake is a high altitude lake in the Seraj valley of the Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh. The lake is situated amidst dense Oak and Pine forests. The crystal clear water of the lake reflects the beauty of the environment around.

lead and take ownership

Start with an intensive session to plan out everything needed for the coming days. From menus, ration and utensils to contingency food plans. Divide and share the load of supplies. As the days progress, instructors take a step back as the group takes initiative. Learn to work as a team—look out for each other, learn to be considerate and share the responsibilities of cooking, cleaning, firewood collection and resource management.

DAY 2  Acclimatization trek followed by river activities. 

DAY 3 Plan, prepare & pack for the expedition. Visit the Chhoie waterfall. 

DAY 4 Trek through parts of the Great Himalayan National Park to reach Sajwar. Pitch tents and set up Camp. First night under the stars! 

DAY 5 Continue trekking to Serolsar lake. Pitch tents and set up camp. 

DAY 6 Trek to the Lambri peak view point and return for lunch to Serolsar Lake. 

DAY 7 Trek to Jalori Pass. Jeeps to inme Tirthan campus. Relaxed evening with river time!!. 

DAY 8 Helter Skelter brings the experience to a close. Leave campus post lunch

The expedition starts and ends at our Tirthan campus where accommodation is in tents. During the trek, campsites are set up at different locations everyday. The group pitches the tents and sleep in sleeping bags provided by us. They’re small tents that comfortably fit two to three people. A pop-up toilet tent is also taken along.

care and safety

Being well fed and hydrated is crucial to staying energised for the demanding days. There is wholesome and nutritious food for every meal, on campus and in the course of the expedition. Water, soup or juice provided during hydration breaks through the day. Our instructors take care of the rest. They’re all certified outdoor experts who go through extensive training and assessment before working with us. For the comfort and special needs of girls, there is a female instructor assigned to each activity group. A doctor is also present on campus at all times to attend to medical needs.

travel details

Groups depart from Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 2 at 7:00pm by AC buses till Aut. The next leg of the journey takes you to our Tirthan campus in non-AC buses/jeeps. The road can get a bit bumpy over some uneven stretches, so be prepared! On the way back, we reach Indira Gandhi International Airport at 6:00am.   Outstation participants fly into Delhi on the departure date. Inme provides airport pick-up-and-drop service and meals at an added cost. Contact us for details.

fitness requirements

This program might be more demanding than the usual physical activities you’re used to. We recommend a little jogging, stretching and exercise a few weeks before the departure to gain the flexibility and agility needed to truly enjoy the experience. Do this wearing the shoes you want to carry for the program—it’ll help break into them.
