Step Up: Choose Your Adventure – Yercaud

Campers choose between two focused adventure tracks: mountain biking with outdoor survival, or rock climbing with backpacking—each designed to build skills progressively over the course of the program. The biking track develops from basic terrain management to controlled braking, turning, and essential bike maintenance, alongside survival sessions that introduce fire-building, navigation, shelter-making, and water purification. The climbing track begins with foundational techniques and equipment use, progressing to jumaring and rappelling, while backpacking builds campcraft, route awareness, and Leave No Trace practices through overnight outdoor experiences. Helter Skelter brings the entire camp community together as a shared challenge, bringing together the skills and confidence built across both tracks.
