inme's Leh expedition program focuses on being immersed in an environment completely unique, not just to India but may be even the world. An entire region that sits above the tree line. Inme’s campus is at 11800 feet on the banks of the Indus River. A natural haven, the area boasts of spectacular natural sights.
The trekking expedition will take the participants to the base camp of Stok Kangari (16075 feet), a well climbed peak. Participants will spend the first 3 days in Leh, acclimatising to the altitude and getting ready for the expedition. The trek to Stok base is 4 days long going from 11800ft - 16075ft.
While in leh the participant will visit the Thicksey Monastery with the intent to understand the local culture. Inme is also taking on the tall environmental task of cleaning the approach to the Stok Kangari peak. We will bring back the garbage we find en route.
Please Note: While fun is an important element in our designs, we do not promise a cushioned, luxury holiday. We take utmost care to ensure that children are well fed, remain hydrated and have a comfortable sleep. But being without phones, sharing living spaces, baths, toilets is as much a part of the unfamiliar environment that aids learning as the great big outdoors.
