First Timer ProgramsJump to the program List

We understand the apprehension of the parent of a young child stepping out of home or participating in an outdoor sport for the very first time. Our First Timer camps, or Explorer Programs, are especially designed for young children aged 9 to 11, who are taking their first stride of self-reliance. At 6 days, the camp is shorter than all other programs we offer.

Each morning, children attempt 1 of the 4 activities offered on camp - Rock Climbing, Wilderness Craft, Ropes Course and Backpacking - learning basic skills and techniques of the sport.

The aim of the summer camp is to encourage young children to explore the world of outdoor sports and find activities they like best.

Challenge ProgramsJump to the program List

Designed for children aged 12 to 17, our challenge programs are meant for the thrill seekers. The adventure programs range from 8-23 days in length and focus predominantly on building leadership skills. Challenge programs use the techniques of immersion and therefore rely on 1 or 2 outdoor sports to deliver learning. Participants often need a certain skill or fitness level to be able to undertake the journey. On most challenge programs, participants shift camps every day, manage their own chores and carry their own personal items and supplies.
