Explore Program

The Bhillar campus was launched in 2015 and has been the base of our summer camps in West India. Perched at a height of 4200 ft in the Satara district of Maharashtra, Bhillar is part of the beautiful and ethereal Western Ghats. The campus is set within an 80-acre estate that overlooks a valley to its east and hills to its west. A large ground on one side of the campus serves as the activity hub for children and offers stunning views of sunrise and sunset over the Ghats. The campus is equipped with tabins and a dorm styled farmhouse accommodation.

Typically a program has 80 participants who work in 4 smaller activity groups of 18-20 participants under the care and guidance of trained outdoor instructors. Participants select two of the four activities offered on the program - Rock Climbing or Ropes Course and Wilderness Craft or Backpacking. They are engaged with the 2 selected activities for 3 days each. The chosen outdoor activities are conducted in the first half of the day. Post lunch, participants engage in activities that include community service, environment awareness or village visits. Late evenings are for informal activities, campfire, and group interaction.

Please Note: While fun is an important element in our designs, we do not promise a cushioned, luxury holiday. We take utmost care to ensure that children are well fed, remain hydrated and have a comfortable sleep. But being without phones, sharing living spaces, baths, toilets is as much a part of the unfamiliar environment that aids learning as the great big outdoors.
